Speaker 2:

Good day to you and welcome to the first episode of 2025. Of All Things Skin, wellness and Faith Breadcrumbs of faith. I hope you all had a wonderful, wonderful holiday season. I hope you are ready to embark on this new year and ready to just get down and get ready to do some new things for this year. I hope you have some goals that you have set in place, some good, godly goals, and I hope that, yeah, this message is just encouraging for you. Today, this is the first episode of 2025. And I have to say 2024 was just a really good year for me. It was a year of growth, a year of revelation, and I just feel super pumped and super ready to take on everything that the Lord has for me to do for 2025. I hope you're feeling the same way and, if you are not, by listening to these episodes that we have upcoming for this year, I hope you begin to just become to be encouraged more so than anything be encouraged in the Lord. Today, we are talking about pretty much new things in lieu of the theme of, you know, the new year and new beginnings. I definitely want to take off starting off the new year. You know, just you know, honing in on that a little bit today. We have a breadcrumb for you today, which is just a quick moment of encouragement to help, hopefully, get you through the week.

Speaker 2:

Today we are focusing on a couple of different scriptures. One of the scriptures I want to start off with is in Isaiah. It's Isaiah 43, 18 and 19. This may resonate with some of you and may be familiar to some of you, but for those of you who are not, I will read from that text and then just give you, you know, just a little quick download of you know what the scripture means to me. This is a scripture that you know, some of us may have heard. You know what the scripture means to me. This is a scripture that you know. Some of us may have heard, you know repeatedly. But, as you know, as you go through the Bible you uncover something different each time. And for those of you that are familiar with this scripture, I hope that it is encouraging and it brings you something new. Henceforth, that's what it's talking about. You know doing a new thing. And for those of you that are not familiar with the text, I hope that you know you begin to embark on a journey where you're just starting to dive into the word a little bit deeper. It is, you know, our sword of the spirit. According to Ephesians, it is a solid ground. That, excuse me, a solid ground. Solid ground that you know, something that we need to use to have a solid ground is more so, what I want to say, and I hope that you know this, is just encouraging you to do something new. So Isaiah 43, 18, 19, I have it here in an amplified version and it reads do not remember the former things or ponder on the things of the past. Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing. Now it will spring forth.

Speaker 2:

So that text is very much straight to the point and resonates very well with you know, the beginning of embarking on a new year 2024, like I said, for me was good. Hopefully it was good for you too. Maybe it wasn't. Either way, whatever 2024, you know, had I always say eat the meat and spit out the bones. So grasp on the good things, take heed of the things that were not so great and, you know, kind of combine those into your goals of you know how you want to move forth, how you want to reflect on those things and bring improvement, but definitely do not have yourself in a place of where you're just, you know, pondering on the things of the old.

Speaker 2:

The Lord's ways are definitely different than ours and even sometimes, you know, we look at things of the past, we look at things that have gone wrong. Everything that he gives to us, he gives to us for a reason, so that includes those bad things. Unfortunately, we don't always see it like that, but it's important that we do, because everything that we go through is not necessarily, for ourselves, good or bad. I mean, definitely we want to embrace the good things, but the bad things are usually moments that build us. Those are like building blocks, building stones. They help us to share our testimony with others, they help us to grow, they help us to endure, and so they definitely serve their purpose, and it's all in a matter of the mindset that you have with it. There are definitely some things that I didn't particularly care for in 2024, but there are also ways that those things have proven to be beneficial and will help build me for 2025 and will help me to encourage others and build others. So it's like those things, while they were unpleasant, they definitely serve a purpose and it is up to me and you to go out and to seek the Lord and to just kind of, you know, ask him what is it that you know he wants to do with those things? And I hope that you're encouraged more than anything by those bad things, because God is good all the way around. The fact that you had some bad things and you made it through it should just show you that God is active and moving and working in your life. Jeremiah 29, 11. Amen.

Speaker 2:

So sorry, guys, a little bit hoarse again, but Jeremiah 29, 11 pretty much says he knows the plans that he has for us, plans to prosper us. Leads me to another scripture in Isaiah, isaiah 55, I believe it's 55 and 7. And it says. It basically says I'm sorry, isaiah 55 and 6. And it says seek the Lord while he may be found, call on him for salvation while he is near. So we are at a time in those of you who know the Bible or know the word know that we are in times. This is a time to take all of those things that have not been pleasant along with the things that have been pleasant and seek the Lord. Seek the Lord, hardcore for direction.

Speaker 2:

We are at the beginning of the year and I know a lot of churches, a lot of people are doing fast and New Year's resolutions and things of that nature and those of you you know, even if you're not fasting, I want to encourage you to take this time to seek out the Lord to see the plan that he has for you. Jeremiah 29, 11 says he has plans to prosper us, but it is up to us to seek him to find out what those plans entail. What is the divine strategy that he has? We cannot just sit there and say, you know, oh, god has good plans for me, and then just kind of fumble through the year blindly. We need to seek him and pretty much see exactly what is the strategy to execute that plan so that it comes to pass. And, with this being the new year, this is the perfect time to, you know, kind of hone in on that newness, that freshness, that new beginning.

Speaker 2:

So I do have a lot coming up for you guys for this year. I have a lot of new things that I'm working on. Next episode that drops will definitely be more in that direction. We're dropping with a new episode that is just going to be talking about more newness, more detoxing, more starting off the new year on the right step. So I definitely want to encourage you guys to tune in and come back for that, and I also want to encourage those of you that are listening, that have been edified, that are enjoying this podcast, to just you know, whatever platform that you're listening on, to leave a review. I know that a lot of you do listen on Apple Apple podcast. Some of you just listen directly off your computer, especially on Apple. It's a very popular platform and I just want to encourage you, if you wouldn't mind, please, to just you know, leave me a good review and, you know, share it with a friend, share it with a family member mom, dad, sister, friend, whoever it is and just help me to elevate for 2025 and, you know, get this message out there.

Speaker 2:

I did look at my off subject. I did look at my podcast statistics for last year. I did see that my podcast grew 139%, which is awesome, but I really want to encourage you guys that are listening that you know are receiving from this podcast that helped me to increase and build even more, and one of the ways that you can do that, even if you don't share it, is to just leave a review to help me. You know elevate and you know get out there All right. So, like I said, guys, this is a breadcrumb, going to wrap it up for there and keep it short, but I encourage you to tune in for the next episode. All right, blessings. See you next time. Bye for now.
