BREADCRUMBS OF FAITH DEVOTIONAL 28: Speaking Life: How Your Words Shape Your Reality
Your words carry divine power to shape your reality, just as God spoke the world into existence. We often forget the spiritual impact of our casual statements, letting negativity flow without recognizing how these words manifest in our lives.
• Be mindful of every word you speak – they have power to create both positively and negatively
• The enemy waits for negative words to "activate" harmful circumstances
• Take captive your thoughts before they become spoken words
• Scripture reminds us that we'll be accountable for every idle word spoken
• Proverbs 16:24 teaches that beautiful words bring healing to our spirits
• As "royal priesthood," we have authority to speak life-changing declarations
• Align your words with God's Word to create a powerful catalyst for change
• Replace phrases like "I can't" or "I'm such a mess" with life-giving declarations
• The Holy Spirit is our helper in speaking truth and positivity
Take authority over your life and your day through your words. Call on the Holy Spirit in every situation – He is waiting to help you speak life and truth.

Good day unto you. Welcome back to another episode of All Things Skin Wellness and Faith, coming back to you with another breadcrumb of faith. Just a short, quick but brief word of encouragement for you today as we hop into today's breadcrumb.
Speaker 1:I just want to encourage you today as we speak about words and the power of your words, and I'm sure this is something that we are all familiar with, just being mindful of what we speak. But what I want to emphasize to you today is do you really understand the power of your words today is, do you really understand the power of your words, speaking and thinking, actually, thinking back to Genesis in the early beginning, God first spoke the world into existence and God has created us in his image. So if he has created us in his image, then we should already be aware of the divine power that our words carry. So this is just a little reminder to just be careful and mindful of what we speak. In Proverbs and I don't have this specific scripture in front of me because this is not the scripture that we are reflecting on today but in Proverbs it says life and death come in the tongue. So if we actually sat down, prayed and meditated on the power that our words have, we would realize that we are able, as believers, to have a divine shift in our lives. So let's just be mindful today, to be aware of what we are speaking.
Speaker 1:I think sometimes we just toss words out of our mouths, not realizing the power that they have, and I mean I have personally worked on this a lot over the years, but I constantly need a reminder just to not let words just roll off of my tongue, because they have power behind them. They have power behind them of positivity and they certainly have power of negativity. I mean the enemy sits there with his minions just waiting, just for us to say something that he can hop on and immediately put into action. This is why the Bible says you know to take captive our thoughts, because what happens is the enemy will place a thought in our mind and as soon as we think it it goes from our mind and it usually comes out in our speech. So we have to be aware and we have to take those thoughts captive immediately, before they come out of our mouths, before they roll off of our tongues, so that there is not an activation that takes place in the spiritual realm of things that are negative and the same with the positive. I mean, just think about how many times you've let something innocent roll off in your tongue. Oh, I'm such a hot mess. Oh, you know, I'm so broke. Oh, I just can't do this. Oh, I don't think I'll be able to do that right now.
Speaker 1:You need to speak life. This is what the word tells us to speak life and everything, to really start to be mindful of every single word that comes off of our tongue. The Bible says that you know, when we go before the Lord and we will all go before the Lord that we will be responsible for every idle word. We will have to answer for every word that we have spoken. So when we go before the Father. We want to make sure that we have a list of good things that we have spoken. So when we go before the Father, we want to make sure that we have a list of good things that we have spoken. We don't want to have to, you know, take account for a bunch of negative words that produce negative fruit.
Speaker 1:The scripture that I want to focus on today is Proverbs 16, 24. Nothing is more appealing than speaking beautiful, life-giving words, for they release sweetness to our souls and inner healing to our spirits. So we, as believers, we have the power to bring on healing. We have the power to bring on restoration. As we line up our words with his word, then it's a catalyst. When the two come together, they are activated and good things come. So just speak life into yourself today. Just speak. You know the abundance and the favor of God over your lives today.
Speaker 1:As you know, it says in what is the scripture? I forgot the exact scripture. It's in Peter, I believe 1 Peter. We are a chosen people, a royal priesthood. Again, I have these scriptures all lined up in my heart. I don't have the exact location for every single one, but these are just scriptures that I personally meditate on on a regular basis. We are a chosen people, we are a royal priesthood, so, as royalty, we are heirs of the kingdom of God. We are part of his glorious kingdom. We have power to speak things and for them to come alive. So let's speak life into our lives. Let's say we are the head and not the tail, we are above and not believe. These are all things that are stated in his word. These are all promises. These are all things that are stated in his word. These are all promises.
Speaker 1:So let me just, you know, just remind you to just Live in the land of positivity, especially with our speech. I'm going to wrap it up there for now, because that's the whole gist of what I wanted to generate to you today. But, yes, you have power. You have power in your tongue and power in your speech. So make sure that you are using the power that is in your tongue to promote positivity and not negativity. This is what the Father wants from you.
Speaker 1:The Holy Spirit is there, ready to help you. Call on the Holy Spirit in every situation. He's there, waiting to help you. The Holy Spirit is a spirit of truth, a spirit of life, and he is our divine helper. The word also says you know, abide in me and I'll abide in you. So, as we seek the kingdom of God, as we speak these words of positivity, as we call out on the Holy Spirit, we have the divine power to shift things spiritually from the spiritual realm down into the natural realm. So I just want to encourage you to take authority over your life and to take authority over your day. All right, like I said, this is just a short break from I'm going to wrap it up there for now. I encourage you to come back for our next full episode. Thank you so much for tuning in today. God bless you and I love you. Bye, guys, for now.
