What if the delay isn’t a detour but the training ground for your calling? Today we lean into a simple, demanding idea: surrender is the bridge between the vision God gave you and the life you’re called to live. Through 2 Corinthians 5:7, Psalms 34:17–18, and Philippians 4:13, we unpack how to walk by faith when the plan feels foggy, why tears are not wasted, and how God equips you for what He initiates.

f this spoke to you, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs courage today, and leave a review with the verse you’re holding onto right now. Your words help others find encouragement too.

Good day to you. Welcome back to this week's episode of Breadcombs of Faith by All Things Skin, Wellness, and Faith. This week I come to you with a quick bit of encouragement to you that comes out of three different scriptures. Today we are coming out of Psalms 34, 17, and 18, 2 Corinthians 5 and 7, and also Philippines 4 and 13. All these scriptures are very familiar, and I'm sure they are familiar to you as well. I just want to speak to you today from a place of the Father just speaking to me about being victorious. And I know that when we read our word and we spend time with the Lord, we always find that, you know, he wants us to be victorious in him. But I think what we fail to realize is the steps that he gives us and the challenges and the things that we have to go to to get to that point. For myself personally, he has definitely given me visions of the future. He's definitely shown me different ways and things that he's called me to do. But what he's also showing to me at this point, and I'm sure that if this message is given to me, it's given to many others as well, is the fact that in order to get to that victorious living, there needs to be a bridge to get from where you are to where you need to be. And that bridge is pretty much what he's shown to me lately is surrendering. What do I mean by surrendering? Surrendering and truth, surrendering means giving everything to him. It means that you live dependent on him and him alone. It means that you have no plan B, you have no backup plan. You see these visions and these goals and these things that he's given for you to accomplish. And there are things that cannot be done in your own might. But what we want to do is we want to resist, to act like Abraham or Abram and Sarai did and take it into our own hands when we don't see it coming to pass. If you know that story from back in Genesis of Abram and Sarai, whose names were changed into Abraham and Sarah, you know that God told them that they would have a child and that they would, and that Abraham would be a father of many nations. You know that they were both old in their old age. They saw that it was very impossible for them to have a child. So they took things into their own hands. This scripture in Genesis is not really what I want to focus on, but I think it's a very key story to kind of hone in on what I want to speak to you about today because it depicts a lot of where we are in our lives, where God just gives us a vision. And the vision is just absolutely amazing, but it's taking so long to come to pass. He gives you the vision, but he doesn't give you the strategy right away. And so what do we do? We take it on our own to figure out, you know, how can we do this? How can we make to come make it come to pass? And then what we do is once we come up with this great scheme of our idea, we expect God to bless it. And that is not the case. A lot of the times when God gives us these visions and he shows us what he has for us, the main part of that is the process of getting to where we are, to where we have called to be. Often we like to focus on just getting to that envision, but there's so much that goes on in the process and the journey of getting us there that prepares us for that. So sometimes you'll instill a dream, and the dream seems way far beyond reach. And that is basically when we have to realize that in our own we cannot do these things. And the Bible speaks of that too. He says, you know, apart from me, you can do nothing. Take, you know, take abide in him to take part in him. And then when we abide in him, then we can do many, many things. We also have to wait and we have to trust on his timing. I mean, during that waiting period, it can get frustrating because there are a lot of many different failures, a lot of things that transpire that will make the vision and the dream seem like it's impossible. Sometimes, you know, we get so frustrated and we're like, God, is this ever going to happen? But the truth is that those failures or so-called failures are the meat and the potatoes of the journey. That is like the best part of, you know, learning and preparing us how to get to where we need to be. So the scriptures that I want to focus on today are 2 Corinthians 5 and 7. And these scriptures are, you know, basically something that, like I said, these are not brand new. They're insightful, but it's not something that we have never not heard before. 2 Corinthians 5, 7 is just basically we walk by faith and not by sight. Something that we have heard over and over and over again, a very um repetitive verse, but a very powerful verse at the same time. Because what is that saying is that although we cannot see how we're going to get to that point, we have to, excuse me, we have to remain faithful. We have to be at a point that we're not just walking according to the circumstances, according to our feelings, according to our emotions, but we're walking according to the vision that was given to us. There's another verse, and I don't have the scripture right in front of me, but it's in Hosea that says, though it tarries, wait for it. The vision is surely to come. So that scripture ties along with 2 Corinthians 5 and 7, because basically what it's saying is that we're waiting and we're waiting, we're waiting. We see the vision, but we don't see it coming to pass. But we have to trust and believe that, you know, like the Bible says, God is not a man that he should lie. If he said that he's going to do it, then he can he can and he will do it. It is our job as his faithful children to walk it out by walking out our faith. And in that time, what's happening? Our faith is getting stretched. We're growing in him, we're learning how to lean on him, we're learning how to trust in him, and all those things are attributes that are pretty much going to help us when we get to where he's called us to, it's going to help us basically endure when we get to that level. You know, the cliche saying is always, you know, new levels, new devils. And we hear that all the time as well. The other scripture that I wanted to focus on, and that scripture, um, I'm sorry, and that is a very true fact. When you reach new levels, you are always going to have new, stronger devils, demons, things that are going to come against you. So what he's doing is he's encrypting, I'm sorry, he is preparing us, equipping us with what we need so that when we reach the top, that we can stand there. Now, the other thing I was gonna say was um the scripture I wanted to reflect on, I'm sorry, is Psalms 34, 17 and 18. And that scripture reads, the righteous cry out and the Lord hears them. He delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those who are crushed in spirit. So during those times, when you have your vision, when you have a God-given goal or a plan, cry out to the Lord when you are in the midst of trouble, because when you're on your way to walk into that journey, there is certainly going to be a lot of hardships, a lot of hindrances, a lot of mishaps. That is also a part of the process. And what this scripture is telling us to is to cry out to him, to attach to him. The Bible says in Revelation that he collects all our tears in a jar. So, I mean, none of these times are, you know, not known by God. He puts them in place for a reason. The Bible also says that, you know, weeping and sorrow come in the night, but joy comes in the morning. So, what that scripture is telling us is that all these hard times are just a season. It's not something that we're destined to be in for a while. So, what I've learned to do, and like I said, sometimes this is easier said than done, is you have to hone into those hard times and you really have to press into the Lord and say, okay, Father, I know what you have showed me for my future. I know the plans that you have for me, which is Jeremiah 29, 11. But in this season where I am right now, I'm hurting, I'm in pain, I have fear, I'm crying out to you so that you can guide me, so that you can lead me. And what is it that you have me to grasp in this season so that I can be prepared for the future? Because when I get into that promised land, when I get into the time and the place of where you have called me to be, I want to make sure that my foundation is solid. So all these hindrances, delays, all these, you know, hardships that we go through, they are to help build a solid foundation so that when we reach the top and we will reach it, we will endure as we endure, we will we will reach it. But basically, you want to be on the solid ground. And then my final scripture is one of my favorite, favorite ones of all times. And I'm sure this is another one that you know we hear a lot, but it's Philippines 4 and 13. For I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. So just to hold on to that one, because that is one that is very repetitive. We see it on t-shirts, sweatshirts, coffee cups, all the Christian um merchandise that we can find will quote the scripture, the scripture. But my question is do we dissect this scripture for what it really is? It's a very simple scripture, but it is a very powerful scripture. Because what we need to know, again, I'm going to reflect back on what I just said, is that we can do all things through him. So if he has a call, if he's put a call, if he's putting an assignment on your life to walk, to go forth, if he's giving you a vision to go and walk in a certain area, then you need to hold on to the scripture. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. That means that you know once again that he's equipping you, that he's building you, and that he's strengthening you to do the job that he's called you to do. He's not gonna call you into something and then tell you, okay, now you have to go figure out. I called you to do XYZ, but now I need you to figure it out on your own. He's definitely going to equip you with everything that you need. Just make sure that you are grasping on to every single detail because there's power in those details. All those details, they matter, they count for something. I always tell people, especially like in dreams, to write down your dreams because your dreams, when he speaks in our dreams, he speaks in detail. And in those small details can be some of the biggest revelation. So it's the same thing as we're going through this journey of going from where we are to where we're going to be. Grasp the small details because some of those small details that seem minute and they seem not important are gonna be some of the things that really support you and help propel you into your future. Okay, well, I'm gonna wrap it up right there, guys. Again, this is the breadcrumb for this week. I hope that you have been encouraged by this. Definitely reflect on these scriptures. Again, it's Psalms 34, 17 and 18, 2 Corinthians 5 and 7, and Philippians 4 and 13. All really good pieces of scripture. What I encourage you to do is to pray before you read these scriptures again, because although you may have read them plenty of times and you may be very familiar with them, the Bible is alive, and I'm sure there's a new message and something that He wants to express to you that you have not seen before. All right, guys, thank you so much for lending me your ear for today's breadcrumb. I play, I pray that you are blessed, and most importantly, be a blessing. Till the next time. Ciao for now.
